Children’s Nebraska, with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is currently recruiting a BE/BC, fellowship trained Neonatologist. Individuals will hold a faculty appointment at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, commensurate with their credentials.
Children’s Nebraska is a 225-bed nonprofit organization caring for children since 1948. Founded by the community and for the community, Children’s is the only full-service, pediatric specialty health center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond. As the region’s pediatric healthcare leader, we’re dedicated to exceptional care, advocacy, research and education. Our state-of-the-art Hubbard Center for Children opened in August 2021 and is home to Nebraska’s only Level IV regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Fetal Care Center, the state’s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and a first-in-the-region Cardiac Care Unit. The Child Health Research Institute, an innovative partnership between UNMC and Children’s Nebraska, was established in 2017 and aims to assist investigators with start-up funding and infrastructure for clinical, basic science or translational research.
The University of Nebraska Medical Center NICU is a regional high-risk perinatal center and admits approximately 450 infants each year and has an average daily census of 25 patients. Nebraska Medicine has an active delivery service allowing Neonatology and Perinatology to work closely together. Pediatric anesthesiologists are also available in-house. Additionally, a full complement of pediatric specialties in the joint practice with Children's Nebraska, provide timely on-site consultations at UNMC. The UNMC and Children’s affiliation aligns our two organizations in a way that allows a shared vision for the future of pediatric health care and ensures children have access to world-class clinical care, treatments influenced by cutting-edge research and a future generation of well-education and highly trained medical professionals.
