The Physical Security Project Manager will ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-scope delivery of assigned projects. The Physical Security Project Manager will manage all phases of the project life-cycle and resource allocation. The Physical Security Project Manager will track the progress of the project, identify risks, develop reports on progress, milestones and budget, and effectively communicate to project stakeholders. The Physical Security Project Manager is also responsible to the Project Sponsor and Manager for successful delivery of project objectives.
1. Develop resource and sequencing plans to oversee projects.
- Coordinate sub-projects/tasks among vendor and internal resources
- Maintain and prioritize list of issues impacting project and pro-actively assure their resolution through appropriate party (e.g., solution architect, infrastructure architect, software/hardware vendor, etc.)
- Create project reporting (e.g., status updates, reviews) and deliver presentations indicating progress reports
- Evaluate and create review documents for changes to project scope
- Perform program risk assessment and assist in evaluating and identifying controls for the risks. Maintain and closely monitor the program risk management plan
- Effectively collaborate with resource managers on project team member selection and determine the best approach for maintaining engagement during the project.
2. Identify opportunities and provide input to the enhancement of OPPD's project lifecycle.
- Prepare reports to support recommended improvements.
3. Prepare, maintain and provide analytics for all managed projects for the Corporate Security team.
- Make proactive recommendations to ensure adherence or develop a business case for any exceptions.
- Prepare or utilize existing PMO reports with accurate timely data for regular status reporting.
4. Perform audits, make recommendations with respect to any assigned area for review.
- Perform root cause analysis if required.
- Ensure all products and services provided adhere to all relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
- Stay current on all related regulations, policies and procedures.
- Utilize OPPD's Asset Recovery office for equipment that can be repurposed.
- Adhere to all internal decommissioning procedures such releasing IP addresses, updating documentation, and change management.
- Be familiar with NERC compliance regulations pertaining to Physical Security of Bulk Electric Systems assets
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and work experience that provides the necessary skills to perform the essential job functions.
- Four (4) formal project management experience of projects
- Prior experience managing 2-3 $2m+ projects simultaneously
- Prior experience with business critical projects
- Competency in project management tools
- Project management certification completion within 24 months of starting position

Time Demands:
1. This position is considered an "essential position" meaning when business necessity and continuity needs are emergent, this position will be required to report to work and may be required to work hours beyond an employee's normal shift.
2. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with Departmental policy.
3. Must maintain 24-hour availability for technical and professional assistance, emergency response, and directing remedial action in response to such emergencies, as well as maintain availability as required for on call duty.

Base: $94,112
Midpoint: $117,640
