The Business Development Manager will join a talented team of rigid packaging sales professionals that call on and build relationships with startup to mid-sized consumer goods brands through out the Rocky Mountain Region. The ideal candidate must have exceptional packaging sales experience and a proven track record of working with CPG companies located in the greater Rockies region including Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.

Founded in Southern California, my client is a rigid packaging distribution leader that has successfully built their business here in the US and internationally in Europe over the past several decades. They specialize in selling top-tier packaging materials to SME businesses in personal care products, food & beverage, aerospace, medical and industrial. 2025 is set to be a HUGE year as they are further expanding their rockstar sales team!

Description

  • Responsible for territory sales and account management with business segments in food & beverage, pharma, and personal care products
  • Business develop new accounts and manage the process and relationship through the entire sales cycle
  • Follow sales strategy set by the Sales Director to penetrate target markets throughout the Rocky Mountain region
  • Must be self-motivated, a critical thinker, and able to operate independently
  • Motivated to perform consistently, achieving quota to exceed growth objectives
  • Expected to travel 25-50% of the time depending on needs; remote the remainder of the time

Profile

  • 5+ years of packaging sales experience; distribution sales experience a HUGE plus
  • Familiarity with packaging components, specifically rigid materials
  • Exceptional track record selling into businesses in food & beverage, consumer goods, and/or pharma
  • Familiarity and experience in Rocky Mountain territory
  • Comfortable with travel (as needed)

Job Offer

  • $95,000 - $135,000 base salary
  • Competitive commission structure
