Critical Care/ICU Nurse Practitioner

Position: Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Cardiac ICU

Compensation: $125/hr

A hospital in Hershey, PA, is seeking an experienced Critical Care Board-Certified APP to join our Cardiac ICU team in a locum tenens capacity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing critically ill cardiac patients, including expertise in the management of VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant patients.

• (3) 13-hour shifts per week (7 AM - 8 PM or 7 PM - 8 AM)
• Includes night shifts, weekends, and holidays

• Primary management of HVI CCU patients under the guidance of an Intensivist
• Daily rounding, patient management, order entry, admissions, and post-operative care
• Performing procedures including:
  • Arterial lines
  • Central lines
  • Swan-Ganz catheter placement
  • IABP removal

• Board-Certified Critical Care APP (NP/PA)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Critical Care Cardiac ICU unit
• Strong expertise in ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant management
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced ICU setting
