Cardiac Anesthesiologist Locums Job Ongoing in Iowa Growing Cardiac Surgery Program

Dates of Coverage:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (6:30 AM-3:00 PM)
Tuesday and Thursday (7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
June 9-13, July 7-11, July 28-31, August 1-8, August 11-15, August 18-22, September 1-5, December 22-26, and December 29 - January 2, 2026

Assignment Details/Requirements ():
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
Active Iowa license or IML; willing to take providers willing to obtain
TEE Certified (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures - NOT just the placement of the probe) is required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification is required
Temporary privileges' can be obtained
COVID Vaccine is required
Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac surgeries 1/day, but not every day; 5-7 general cases/day. Must help cover general if no cardiac cases.
Number of Anesthesiologists in Practice: 6
Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric. Very sick children are sent to other hospitals better staffed/equipped for children.
EMR: Cerner - moving to EPIC
