Production and Fulfillment Crew -- ReptiBites (Lafayette)

ReptiBites is an E-commerce business in Lafayette. We ship live feeder insects to reptile owners across the country. We're hiring for our production and shipping team. Most of the job is packing and shipping customer orders. You'll also help take care of our insects each day.

Pay and Hours

• Starting pay: $24/hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with weekend hours available if you want more
• Hours: Part-time (around 30 hours/week) or full-time - your choice
• Location: On-site in Lafayette

If you've worked at places where workers' ideas were ignored, this will feel different.

What You'll Do

• Pack insects into containers. Prep the containers, run the packing machine, and seal each one so it's ready to ship.
• Build and ship orders. Load containers into boxes, tape them up, and put on the shipping labels.
• Help with production. Feed and harvest insects, watch how they're growing, and keep the workspace clean and organized.

We provide gloves and any other safety gear you need.

Important to Know Before Applying

• You'll work directly with insects. They're slow, harmless, and they can't fly. But they are still insects. You need to be okay with that.
• The work is steady and physical. You'll be on your feet most of the day, doing focused hands-on work.
• You won't deal with customers. If you've worked food service or retail, this will feel much calmer.

About Pay Raises

We aren't able to promise raises on any schedule. Raises generally depend on how the business does. Here's what we've actually done: over the past year, we've raised pay on this team by $4/hour. That happened because the business grew. We can't guarantee it will keep growing. What we can promise is that we'll keep investing in the people who work for and help build this company.
